Doctors and scientist agree its ok. The digestive enzymes break down the essential oils in the moth as you swish and then is absorbed through the bottom of the tongue causing helpful benefits to the body. Then swallowing the oil pre digested helps even more and whatever bacteria or parasite that maybe ingested is destroyed by the hydrochloric acid from the stomach .
