It is a proud moment for every patriotic Indian that the glory of art has been finally restored! Yes, the painting that you see below depicting Bharat Mata (Mother India) in a “very respectable” pose has been declared by the august body as a “work of art” and nothing wrong with it.
Kindly have a look. If you feel that a picture of a naked lady drawn in a manner representing the physical contours of India and names of various cities of India written all over the painting, should have been painted in a more civilized fashion, you are likely to be condemned as a right-wing reactionary and a philistine by the great connoisseurs of art in India!
Pray tell me, can it happen with any other country in the world!
