Naiveté, no virtue!

naiveté

I was naive

Full of ignorance

Easy to joy

Quick to tears

Entranced by nature

Infatuated with anything

That was beauteous

and fantastic

I believed that

All good things in life

came free.

I was wrong.

Terribly wrong.

Nothing comes free.

Not even life.

That was my fist lesson

And I haven’t stopped learning

Knowledge that turned

the carriage into a pumpkin

But then

I had changed

It has dawned on me

One has to pay for

everything one gets

in direct proportions.

Period.
