Purnamadhah Purnamidam

Meaning of this profound verse:

That is whole; this is whole;
From that whole this whole came;
From that whole, this whole removed,
What remains is whole.

Peace, peace, peace!

“Purnam” carries the meaning of completeness and also Infinity. It is an abstract concept of Universe and the ultimate truth, “Brahma” as a complete entity. Nothing can diminish it, even by taking out infinity from it!

A detailed commentary on this verse by Swamy Dayananda Saraswathi (ArshaVidya Centre) can be read here (PDF).

    The article was rather catching and intriguing enough to get all probable nuances to remember.

    I really do enjoy studying the material and the writing manner of the writer, etc..

    I suggest you write such sorts of posts every day to give the audience like me all
    of the necessary information. In my opinion, it is better to be prepared for all of the unexpected circumstances beforehand, so thanks, it was pretty cool.
